  • DICAMP Spring School

Our DICAMP spring school started with module 2 Innovation Strategy which was taught from April 8-10 by Prof. Ralf Reichwald, Dr. Nizar Abdelkafi and Dr. Anna Trifilova. During the three days the students experienced a combined course where the teachers were applying different interactive teaching and learning methods. The course focused on organizational forms, new institutional economics, networking organizations and organizational theory which was supported by case studies, group work and a role game. On the last day of teaching every student received a DICAMP package filled with a DICAMP T-Shirt, individual DICAMP business cards and the two DICAMP brochures. On April 13 Dr. Allen Alexander from the University of Exeter taught module 4 Strategic Selection where the students learned how organizations select their innovation projects and activities. Besides a closer look on the innovation process, the course also dealt with stakeholder motives, the effect of strategic selection, risk analysis and evaluating uncertainty. The last module within the DICAMP spring school was module 7 Building the Innovative Organization which was taught by Dr. Anna Trifilova and Romy Hilbig from April 15-17. By playing a business game students were asked to establish cooperation in order to work more productively. The aim of the course was to indicate the importance of communication and cooperation between all employees and departments of an organization for making the innovation process successful.
